More About Me

Business Philosophy

My father taught me a long time ago that the only thing you take with you when you leave this earth is the knowledge you gained and the name you created for yourself. Maintaining my good name is, therefore, of utmost importance to me. If I lose the trust of my clients, I have damaged that name, and it will take a lot of work to repair it, if it is repairable at all. My focus, whether I am helping you buy or sell a home, is on protecting you and watching out for your best interests. My commitment to my clients is that I will never say anything to anyone about them or the transaction that I would not say with them standing next to me.

Professional Training and Certifications

I am a Certified Residential Specialist or CRS. The CRS designation is the highest and most respected designation a Realtor can earn. Less than 3% of the agents in the nation hold this designation. It is considered the PhD of real estate because it requires not only a significant amount of education, but a high level of production. I earned the designation my second year in business. I have gone on to serve as the President of the Utah Chapter and as the Regional VP for Texas and the Northwest States.
I am also a Certified Negotiation Expert and continue to take courses from the Harvard Negotiation School of to maintain those skills.

My Mission Statement

For years, I had one of those long-winded mission statements hung in my office. I wrote it during a seminar I attended years ago. "As a professional real estate agent, I am committed to ensure the happiness, safety...BLAH, BLAH, BLAH." It was obviously meant to impress anyone that read it and yet probably confuse them at the same time. Over the years, I have fine tuned that mission statement, and I live and breath by what it says: AMAZE, AMUSE, DELIGHT and SURPRISE!

My Personal Life

I have been married to the most amazing wife for nearly 28 years. We have 6 biological children and one adopted son. We moved to Utah 18 years ago and made Davis County our home. We love it here. My kids have all been raised here, and my two grand children are being raised here as well. I served on the Clearfield City Planning Commission for almost 9 years until I was elected to the City Council where I served for 6 years. Since 2014, I have served as the Mayor of Clearfield City. It is a voluntary position, but I love what I get to do! In my spare time, I love to travel, shoot guns, attend sporting events (I am a raging RSL fan) and attend the theater.
